A Recipe of Hasselback Maple Pecan Sweet Potatoes
- 2 sweet potatoes of medium size
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- A pinch of salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoon of butter, melted
- A quarter cup of pecans, chopped
- A quarter cup of maple syrup
- Half a teaspoon of kosher salt
- Half a teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
Method of Preparation:
First you need to preheat the oven at 425 degrees.
Prepare your sweet potatoes by peeling them off, and then cutting them thin by making crosswise slices about three-quarters down into the potato, but not up to the bottom. Cut like this put them on a baking dish and sprinkle them with olive oil, and then with salt and pepper according your preference. Put them in the oven, increase the temperature to 450 degrees, and bake them for around 30 minutes till they become soft.
