The human body is constantly being impacted by various toxins which are everywhere, in the food we eat, in the air we breathe, in all household products, and so on. As a result of that we have many toxins accumulated in our body that can impede the functions of many body organs and as well as hinder the weight loss process.

Our body has its own defenses against toxins through organs like the liver, lungs, kidneys and skin. They remove the present toxins and release the body from the negative effect of them. However, when the body is overwhelmed with toxins these organs cannot at the fullest perform their tasks and thus the toxins start to accumulate in our body triggering many diseases. Therefore, we should start to introduce certain methods that will help in the removal of toxins like for instance the detox tea that has been highly recommended by the traditional medicine Auyrveda.

In order for your body detox to be successful you need to know that there are two types of waste: exogenous toxins, which come from our external environment and endogenous toxins, which are produced inside our body.

How the body detoxifies itself?

After the last meal the body needs 8 hours to digest, absorb and assimilate the consumed food.  The body will start to detoxify naturally, and if our diet is based on healthy foods, this process will last only for 4 hours. This period is enough for the body to clean itself and remove all of the toxins from the body provided that is healthy and consumes natural ingredients. In case of stress, poor lifestyle, high exposure to toxins this process lasts longer since the self-sufficiency of our body is significantly weakened.

Dr. Alejandro Junger, a cardiologist and follower of alternative healing and body regeneration, advises fasting of 12 hours after our last meal. This period would be enough for the body to process food (8 hours) and detoxify (4 hours). However, due to the modern way of living this is very difficult to achieve and because of that we need to introduce certain detox treatments.

Ayurvedic doctors highly recommend the use of the following drink that will offer body detox.
