DIY Sore Feet Treatment

Required Ingredients and Things:

  • 1 large basin of hot water
  • 1 tablespoon of baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon of green tea
  • 1 juiced out lemon
  • 2 to 3 drops of peppermint essential oil
  • Epsom salt
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil or argan oil (used for massage)

Instructions:

Take a large bowl filled with hot water and in it put all the listed ingredients, except for the olive oil. Soak your feet in it for 15 – 20 minutes. After that, gently scrub your feet with a pumice stone in order to remove dead skin cells. Next, apply the olive oil by performing a deep massage that will soften the skin on your feet and offer deep moisture.

Baking soda

This natural product is known for its abrasive nature thus making it the ideal foot exfoliatior that will successfully eliminate the dead skin cells and as well as neutralize the bad odor. It reveals antifungal properties and because of that it will become an effective remedy in the treatment of fungal infections of the feet.

Green tea

Note: For its topical use you need to dilute it with carrier oil, and this applies for the use of every essential oil.

Note:

This foot bath needs to be performed at the end of the day due to the photosensitizing properties of the lemon. This treatment is not advised for people with kidney issues, children and for the older generation.
