3 Natural Remedies to Treat Varicose Veins & Rosacea at Home

Although varicose veins can affect both genders, women tend to suffer more from this issue. Likewise, most of them have issues with swollen, painful legs, and rosacea.

Varicose veins commonly develop on the legs characterized by abnormally dilated veins having a blue or purple color.

Rosacea is a skin condition which usually impacts people with fair skin and it is manifested by small vessels of the face.

Varicose veins and rosacea are not serious health conditions, but they can turn to be very painful and not very nice looking. Both of them indicate that there is some disorder in the vessels.

The reasons for their appearance depend from woman to woman. Varicose veins can develop as a result of overweight, pregnancy, prolonged standing, age, or simply genes. Rosacea may appear due to dilation of the blood vessels of the face, or a parasite that infests the face recognized as demodex folliculorum.

Prevention of Varicose Veins and Rosacea

In order to prevent both conditions, you need to carefully monitor the intake of certain foods as some may be the reason for their development.

Varicose veins

Try to take in more foods that are high in vitamin C, zinc and selenium. These nutrients prevent the dilation of the veins which is the main cause for varicose veins.

Make certain to avoid the intake of bad fats present in fried foods, creams, fatty meats, etc. This also applies to the high intake of sugar as these products can cause inflammation and lead to the formation of varicose veins.

Instead of this consumption you should eat more nuts, seeds, and foods that are high in vitamin E. This food intake will prevent the formation of blood clots and promote blood circulation.

Additionally, you should opt for foods like green leafy vegetables, papaya and pepper as they are packed with vitamin B and C, vital nutrients for stronger blood vessels.

This condition can be prevented if you avoid the intake of foods that are high in histamine like for instance the seafood. Histamine is a compound that the body produces and it is also present in certain foods. This substance can cause dilation and loosen up the blood vessels, and it is one of the reasons for rosacea.

Food products that are high in sugar, tea and coffee should be limited since they can cause dilation of blood vessels.
