Recipe for a Healthy and Delicious Turmeric-Ginger Tea

Our body is mainly composed of water and on it falls 60% of our body weight; therefore it is of vital importance to keep our body well-hydrated. The body needs water so that it fulfills its functions accordingly. Have in mind that the body discharges more liquids than it absorbs and because of that it can get easily dehydrated.

We need to keep it well-hydrated so that it functions accordingly, and in this article we shall present you a recipe of a delicious tea that will keep your body hydrated and at the same time boost the overall health.

The body gets dehydrated when it does not receive enough amount of water and because of that it needs to function properly. This dehydration can be mild, moderate or severe depending on the shortage of liquid in the body.

The content of this recipe is based on healthy, effective and beneficial ingredients like ginger and turmeric which will contribute to proper maintenance of the body’s health.

Required Ingredients:

  • 4 teaspoons of dried organic turmeric
  • 4 teaspoons of dried ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon of black pepper
  • ¼ cup of honey
  • 4 cups of water


Take a small saucepan and in it include the ginger, turmeric and black pepper. Next, pour the water and once it reaches its boiling point lower the heat and leave it to steep for a few minutes.

Turn off the heat, and when it is lukewarm add the honey, cover it with a lid and leave to steep or 1 hour or leave it a whole night. Strain the solution and transfer it in a container with a lid. Drink it throughput the whole day.

The consumption of this tea will contribute to proper hydration of the body, but along with its consumption you need to drink plenty of water.

Note: You should avoid the consumption of ginger if you are pregnant, especially after the first trimester of pregnancy.
