Fried Bananas With Cinnamon Sugar

Brazilians eat fried bananas either with a meal or as a dessert with cinnamon and sugar.

Fried Bananas With Cinnamon Sugar

Preparation time: 5 minutes;

Cooking time: 10 minutes


Ingredients for four servings:

4 bananas

2 tbsp of butter or margarine           

2 tbsp of sugar           

½ tsp of cinnamon



Peel the bananas and cut them in half lengthwise.

In a frying pan, melt the butter or margarine. Fry the bananas on one side until they are golden brown, for about 5 minutes. Turn them and fry them on the other side until they turn golden brown.

While the bananas are frying, mix the sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl.

With a spatula, remove the bananas and place them on a serving platter. Sprinkle them with the cinnamon-sugar mixture and serve hot.
